SA1800CR is a specially formulated alloy designed to increase matrix hardness and carbide concentration over conventional chromium carbide alloys. The harder matrix found in SA1800CR provides greater wear resistance in erosive and low impact applications improving service life in applications such as cement chutes, cyclones, fan blades, dust/ash pipes, and fine particle screening including slurries. A moderate improvement in wear life can also be expected when exposed to elevated temperatures below 350˚C.
